RETURNS & EXCHANGES
All Fade To Black jewelry is eligible for exchanges, returns and store credit.
Fade To Black will only accept exchanges or returns until 7 days after the item was received. After 7 days, credit will be given for all returns within 15 days of the receipt on all unworn jewelry. In the event of an exchange or return, it is the customers responsibility to carefully package and ship the items back to the Studio. Fade To Black is not responsible for lost or stolen packages of returned merchandise.
Please email email@example.com for exchanges and credit notes. Each piece is made individually around the stone, and we offer a fully customised service where we can provide specific videos and images of the exact stone you will be getting. Please don't hesitate to ask for more information so you get exactly what you want.
All custom and sale pieces are final sale and may not be returned or exchanged. We reserve the right to deny unreasonable repairs, returns, and exchanges.

Free domestic 2 day shipping via USPS or Fedex.
Please allow 2-4 business days for your item to be processed and shipped if in stock. If the item is made to order, you will be notified via email for approximate shipping dates. Please allow 3-4 weeks for the item to be completed if not in stock. We take great care with each piece we craft, and there may be production and shipping delays due to the restrictions mandated by the city of Los Angeles during the pandemic.
Please allow 2 - 4 business days for your item to be processed and shipped. All international orders are shipped via FEDEX or DHL.
There is a flat rate international shipping fee of $30. International shipping takes 2-6 business days to arrive. If you wish to have your item arrive sooner - please email us so we can organise expedited shipping.
You can get your fingers sized at a local jeweler and any ring can be re-sized to your measurements for a $50 additional fee. Please email the studio with any questions regarding sizing information. Alternatively, find your ring size on this website here.
Fade To Black jewels are all quality checked before being shipped out, and opals breaking from mishandling is not considered a manufacturing fault and therefore will not be exchanged. Please refer to the care instructions on the website for more information. We reserve the right to refuse unreasonable returns such as:
- General wear and tear
- Damage that has incurred after months of use without proper care
- Re-sizing and improper care by other jewellers
- Chipped or broken stones
However, please do contact us with your concerns and we will provide advice or fix the item at our discretion.
EXCHANGE FOR SIZE
As Fade To Black jewelry is essentially one of a kind, choosing a different size may result in a different stone and will depend on availability. For full priced items you may exchange for a different size within 7 days from date of purchase (15 days for International orders), Customers will be responsible for all shipping & re-shipping charges for exchanges.
When your order is placed you will be assigned an email confirming your order. When your email is fulfilled, you will receive an email confirming your order is on it's way along with a tracking number.

All Opals and gemstones used in FADE TO BLACK opals are ethically sourced and mined. We work with renowned craftsmen in the gem industry that are members of AGTA and GIA associations. FADE TO BLACK is in compliance with environmentally friendly standards when sourcing our materials and working with suppliers. Every piece is handmade in either our Sydney studio, or in Los Angeles, CA. All production is monitored carefully and FADE TO BLACK supports fair trade practices for its workers.
